Lyon Farm's 2023 Blueberry Crop Wiped Out By an Early Bloom Followed by a Devastating Late Freeze

The warm weather in the late winter followed by the freeze in both March and April appears to have wiped out our blueberry crop. That said, we are not planning to open for the 2023 season. We were looking forward to seeing all our friends and are so very sorry this happened. If we have any updates, we'll be sure to post here or on the Facebook page.

Our Summer 2021 Season is Over

Thank you everyone for coming to the farm this summer.  Unfortunately—we are pretty much out of berries now. We should have scupadine (Scuppernong) in September though if you want some and possibly some pecans later this year.  Stay in touch and call with any questions/queries.  Thank you again!

We are Open for Summer 2021!

Hours will be the same this year—Wednesday through Sunday from 7 a.m. til 3 p.m. Prices will remain the same too—$15 per gallon bucket. (We provide buckets--that's part of the deal) Remember, if you visit with small children to keep an eye on them. Stay hydrated, bring bug repellent---and feel free to bring a picnic and enjoy the quiet. Call with any questions!  We look forward to seeing you!  1700 County Road 56, Wilsonville, 358186.

Summer 2021: We Anticipate Opening the First Week of June

Image
We are anticipating that we could be open by June 9 for the summer 2021 season. The berries are already looking full and juicy (as you can see in the photo taken on May5). Hours will be the same this year—Wednesday through Sundays from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. Prices will remain the same too—$15 per gallon bucket. (We provide buckets--that's part of the deal) Remember, if you visit with small children to keep an eye on them. Stay hydrated---and feel free to bring a picnic and enjoy the quiet. Call with any questions.
We will likely have pecans in the fall.....winter.........call JT

We're open through July 5 (including Independence Day!)

For those who want blueberries, please come before July 5. We’ll be closed (for berries) for the season starting July 6. Unfortunately, we had a powerful thunderstorm with heavy winds and torrential rain that knocked a lot of the berries off the bushes. We still have berries, but we only had one field this season (the upper field had its ten-year pruning over the winter), so we anticipate they will be gone fast. So, we’re open now until July 5 from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day. We hope you’ll be able to come and pick them! $15 per gallon, cash only please. We will have baskets of delicious tomatoes and squash in the next couple of weeks. Just call ahead before you come out for the tomatoes. JT is at 205-864-5701

We Will Re-OPEN Friday June 26

We should have lot's of ripe blueberries starting Friday June 26! We're open Friday, Saturday and Sunday—closed Monday and Tuesday......Hours are 7 a.m. until 3 p.m...Berries are $15 per gallon.   We ask that you please bring a face mask for those moments you can't safely social distance from people don't arrive with.   We're looking forward to seeing you!  Call JT with any questions--- 205-864-5701
